The history of Cannstatt is diverse and extends far beyond the Middle Ages to the Roman times.
As bathing and health resort with its abundant resources of mineral water experienced the old administrative center on the Neckar river in the 19th century a period of prosperity, until finally the industry gained the upper hand. In 1905 Cannstatt and Stuttgart amalgamed to a quite larger city. In 1933 the name of Cannstatt changed to Bad Cannstatt, reflecting the spa traditions.
Almost since 2005 it is my pleasure to show the richness and history of our "city within a city" to the people of Cannstatt and foreign visitors on an equally exciting and entertaining way.
